The One That Got Away

Post by Wednesday Toys on Thu May 09, 2013 1:37 pm

What was the one (just one) toy you always wanted as a kid, but for whatever reason never had? For me it was Transformers G1 Metroplex... that guy represented the pinnacle of toys to me during the 80s. And to my everlasting shame, I STILL haven't bought one.

How about you? I would love to know what toy has left a hole in your hearts.

Lion or Vehicle? I traded a toy that you couldn't get here in Australia, and I think my Ace MacCloud Centurion for the Lion Voltron, but with no figs. I always wanted the Vehicle one, though!

Well I always wanted the lion because a friend of mine had them and I always used to head straight for them when we would go over there, I'm not really sure I knew the vehicle existed back then, But now I don't have a preference at what toys I collect but I'm more a fan of the Lion cartoons then the vehicle cartoons.

They have a toy museum in Penang, Malaysia that boasts about being the largest in the world (I don't know if it's true or not, I haven't been to many other toy museams), but they have a great selection of Voltron toys on display there.

Lion Voltron was huge, and one of the few toys that could go toe-to-toe with Cargantua in the 80s!
