DoomKick Reviews
Hey Guys/Gals/Creatures
My name is Dr Rampageo and I run a little toy blog called Doomkick.com. I run reviews every Monday and Friday, and my contributors ( Seraph,PrfktTear, and T-rav) also post from time to time.
If you love toys like I do check out the site! Hope to see you there!
http://doomkick.com/
The last two Reviews on DK were
Realm Of The Underworld Skeletons
http://doomkick.com/realm-of-the-underworld-archfiend-ultimate-evil-edition-skeleton-minions-review/
And the Star Wars/Disney Star Tours Huey,Dewey, and Louie as Jawas
http://doomkick.com/star-wars-disney-star-tours-huey-dewey-and-louie-as-jawas-review/
We actually just celebrated our one year anniversary over at DoomKick so there is plenty of reviews in the index
http://doomkick.com/reviews-a-z/
and a ton of stuff in the various categories of toys (look on the lower right of the homepage) so dig in and have a blast! I love talking to readers so feel free to leave comments, we always reply!

Re: DoomKick Reviews
Great review of the Boba Figure - really puts his size into perspective with your pics where he's standing behind the original! I haven't pulled the trigger on any of these yet, although I've been watching a relatively cheap jumbo Stormtrooper on eBay for a while... the trouble is, I don't think I could stop at just one, and they can get pretty exy.
And you've got a really good conversation going on over at your site about the flash sale of the Spirit of Hordak figure. I'm not a subscriber, so I don't feel ripped off about it from that point of view... although to be fair a sale at 4:30am doesn't endear a company to a country.
Still, as a marketing ploy to generate more clicks to their website - it seems to be working. I myself, along with a few other peeps I know, are checking the Matty Collector site religiously in case Spirit of Hordak pops up again! And as much vitriol as Mattel have received over this, they are certainly getting a lot of air-time out of it. As they say, even negative publicity is publicity.
*EDIT - for those who don't know, Mattel - without any warning or publicity - put up a rare figure for sale unannounced which sold out in 40 mins... much to the anguish of collectors and huge-money-paying subscribers who missed out!

Re: DoomKick Reviews
yeah they def got people talking that's for sure. A simple heads up to sub holders could have removed a lot of the anger
Re: DoomKick Reviews
Absolutely! From their point of view, though, sub holders are already hooked. Like mobile phone companies offering great deals to get in new customers - a lot of those deals don't apply to existing customers because, well, they already know they're getting money from them.
It's a horrible point of view, but that's often Marketing's mindset - better to reach and attract new customers, all else falls by the way-side.
Did you end up getting one?
